The film is being produced by UK production companies Working Title (Bridget Jones, Les Miserables) and Independent Entertainment. It will be based on Johnson’s memoir A Bone In My Flute.

The Liverpudlian group were among the UK’s biggest pop groups of the 80s before they split acrimoniously after a fight before a gig at Wembley Stadium.

Biopic On Frankie Goes To Hollywood In The Works

The piece, Relax, has been declared to be under production, which features how the pop group of the 80s, Frankie Goes to Hollywood arose from obscurity.

The film will be made by Bernard Rose, interestingly also the director of the music video for their song, Relax.

The actor Callum Scott Howells, who achieved stardom with   Its a Sin, a Russell T Davies' show that was set in the time of Aids, would be playing the role of the band’s lead singer, Holly Johnson.

Just a couple of days after they reunited for the first time in almost 40 years, we can reveal that UK band Frankie Goes To Hollywood are the subject of a new movie biopic from UK powerhouse Working Title and sales and production company Independent Entertainment.

Deadline reports that the U.K. studios Working Title and Independent Entertainment are working on a biopic of the band, based on frontman Holly Johnson’s memoir, A Bone In My Flute. The film, titled Relax, is expected to feature the band’s hit songs.

Netflix Snaps Up Lewis Capaldi Documentary ‘How I’m Feeling Now’ From Pulse Films, Sets Release Date

Lewis Capaldi’s feature-length documentary “How I’m Feeling Now” has been snapped up by Netflix.

The streamer has acquired worldwide rights to the doc, which is set to drop globally on April 5, via Independent Entertainment. The project was produced by BMG and Pulse Films, a VICE Media Group company, and co-financed by Quickfire Films.

“Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now” is directed by Joe Pearlman (“Bros: After the Screaming Stops”) and gives fans an inside look into the multi-platinum, award-winning artist as he returns to his roots following unimaginable global success including five headline tours and chart-topping singles.
